On that Saturday afternoon of June 8th, 1997, some 6.640 people, the biggest ever attendance gathered for any football game on the Faroes, witnessed their beloved National team show beautiful and spectacular football. The Faroes won 2-1 away against the same opponents just one month previously and not without reason they were regarded as favourites. That was the game when arguably the strongest Faroese attacking duo, Todi Jónsson and Uni Arge, with 17 international goals between them, really showed their class and scoring ability.
